How can QuickBooks Error C=184 be fixed?

 

Quickbook Errorcode C=184 occurs due to a damaged network file that is required to run the QuickBooks company file. The occurrence of this error can cause data damage in the company file.   

 

What causes Error C=184?

  •  Damaged .ND and .TLG field may cause error C=184. 
  • Wrong dates in the reports. 
  •  Wrongly installed QuickBooks. 




How can you fix this error?

 

Windows update

 

You should check if there is now an update for the windows that are running in the background which may interrupt the connectivity of QuickBooks desktop application. 

Since window updates will keep all the network resources on the routes engaged and there will be no response from the server. 

 

Running Reboot.bat

  • Close QuickBooks, and make a right click on QuickBooks icon. 
  • Open the file Location from properties, then run the reboot.bat folder as an administrator. 
  • When CMD prompts, then restart to your computer. 

 

Rename .ND and .TLG file. 



  • Open the folder of the company file and then rename the files which are having .ND and .TLG extension by adding .OLD at the end of the file. 
  • Cut and paste these files at some new location.
